Celebration on Steel introduces young people to the vibrant sound and rich cultural history of the steel pan. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, the steel pan has grown from a creative musical tradition into an instrument enjoyed around the world.
Through hands-on instruction, students explore rhythm, music-making, teamwork, and creativity—all while having fun and building confidence. No previous musical experience is needed. The steel pan is a welcoming instrument that allows students to start making music right away.
At its heart, Celebration on Steel is about bringing young people together through music, culture, and community.
URBAN MUSIC MAKERS

Urban Music Makers introduces young people to the excitement of playing in a concert band. Students learn the fundamentals of music while developing skills on instruments such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion.
Through group instruction and ensemble performance, students build rhythm, listening skills, teamwork, discipline, and confidence—all while experiencing the excitement of making music with others.
No previous musical experience is required. Students begin with the fundamentals and grow as musicians through consistent practice, instruction, and performance opportunities.
At its heart, Urban Music Makers is about giving young people the opportunity to discover their musical potential and become part of something bigger than themselves.
