Founded as an in-house repair service in 2014, West Point’s Instrument Repair Shop (IRS) was created to support West Point School of Music’s mission: to engage urban youth through music instruction and performance, cultivating artistically connected, socially conscious, and productive adults.

By providing expert brass and woodwind repair services in-house, we’ve helped reduce costs for the school while ensuring that students always have access to properly maintained instruments—at no cost to them. Now, we’re expanding our services to the broader community, offering high-quality repairs to local musicians, schools, and music programs in need of dependable service.
