Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

West Point School of Music’s mission engage urban youth through music instruction and performance; cultivating artistically connected, socially conscious, productive adults. Through music, our students can dream of a brighter future and have hope for a better tomorrow.

Because many of our families struggle with securing basic necessities, we commit to providing all the resources, equipment, and supplies these children need to participate in quality music education at no cost to their families. We will not allow finances to stand in the way of students discovering and maturing in their gifts. In addition we also provide a safe place outside of their homes for our students to be.

You can help these children thrive through music with a donation today. We ask for donations of:

1) new or used musical instruments, including any from the standard wind band or symphonic band family;*

2) other equipment, such as music stands, reeds, method books, solo and ensemble material, and other sheet music; and/or

3) a personal financial donation or a sponsorship from your company that would be used to compensate instructors, purchase instruments and provide supplies. All donations are tax-deductible and we can pick up instruments and equipment at your convenience.

*We are not accepting piano donations at this time.

Thank you for considering the opportunity to inspire change by your gift.

Sincerely,
Julian J. Champion, Chief Executive Officer
